The 1st Annual Rocky Mountain Rendezvous
August 20-22, 2010
About:
The Rocky Mountain Rendezvous is a 2.5 day climbing event where individuals come together to see climbing slideshows, demo gear, have AMGA professionally trained guides teach them skills, and have fun. This event is limited to 30 participants to ensure personalized attention.
Climbing in Rocky Mountain National Park:
There is a rich history of climbing in and around RMNP. Open the guide book and you’ll see first ascents from the likes of Layton Kor, Roger Briggs, Charlie Fowler, Royal Robbins, Douglas Snively, Jimmy Dunn, Billy Westbay, Mike and Tommy Caldwell, Steve Komito, Malcolm Daly, and the list just keeps going. RMNP has so much to offer climbers. From the granite cragging at Lumpy Ridge, to the ridge-line traverse of Blitzen Ridge on Ypsilon, to run out face climbing on Hallett, to one of the 50 classic climbs in the U.S. found on the Petit, and over to the sheer east face of Longs Peak. There is something for everyone.
