Below is a list of all our rock climbing focused courses. These preset date courses are offered at a discounted price. If you can’t take the course when it is offered, we can cover any of the material in any one of the courses on different days as a custom outing. ROCK COURSES

Intro Rock Climbing
Climbing outside is the greatest. This one-day rock-climbing course covers the basics of outdoor climbing. Our guides are masters at getting your skills up to par so you can be comfortable on the rock. You’ll have fun and learn a lot.

Intro Rock Climbing Seminar
This course is the seven-day immersion version of Intro Rock Climbing. To really get it right, you have to do it for more than a day. This complete introduction to rock climbing turns first-timers into solid intermediate-level climbers.

Intermediate Technique
After you’ve learned the basics, getting to the next level is all about moving more effectively on the rock. In this one-day course your guide will study your climbing style and pinpoint your strengths and weaknesses to teach you the skills you need to become a better climber.

Red Rocks Climbing Excursion
Red Rocks is known for its expanse of intermediate terrain. The area has amazing weather, thousands of routes, and everything from short single pitch climbs to long multi-pitch outings. Las Vegas is known to have cheap flights, so book one today and let’s do some climbing.

Intermediate Technique Seminar
This seven-day comprehensive version of our Skills and Movement Outdoors course is the sure-fire way to move into advanced climbing. Not only will your climbing improve, but you’ll also learn how to set up top-rope anchors, follow multi-pitch climbs, and establish yourself at the next level.

Multi-Pitch Clinic
Getting up a long climb is about using efficient systems, not just climbing quickly. To maximize the number of pitches you get to climb, this clinic includes an educational evening at the Boulder Rock Club before an exciting day of multi-pitch climbing.

Top-Rope Anchor Clinic
The first step to being an independent climber is learning how to set up top ropes. Setting anchors upon which your and others’ lives depend must be done correctly. This one-day class teaches you how to do it well.

Crack Clinic
The most important skill for traditional climbing throughout the world is – crack climbing technique. We’re lucky to have great places to learn it right here in the Front Range of Colorado. This one-day clinic is the fastest way to learn how to climb cracks.

Vedauwoo Offwidths
A full day of offwidth crack climbing instruction and practice in one of the region’s premiere crack climbing destinations. Learn how to climb efficiently and confidently on wide cracks.

Learn to Lead Sport
Nature sets the best routes! Do you love leading in the gym and want to try it outside? Are you hesitant to make the jump? It’s easier and safer to learn to lead from a professional guide. This one-day course will get you sport climbing outside in the best way possible.

Comprehensive Rescue
What would you do if your partner got hurt while climbing? What if a nearby team needed help? Would you know what to do? Rescue skills can actually prevent a full-blown rescue. For anyone who climbs trad, this two-day course is mandatory.

Big Wall Clinic
Is the big stone in your future? If you are already a solid leader, there are a few additional skills you need for climbing a big wall. Learn them in one day from a professional guide and potentially save yourself the dreaded big wall epic.

Learn to Lead Trad
Learning to lead traditional routes properly and safely is the best investment a climber can ever make. Colorado Mountain School has been teaching climbers to lead longer than most other guide services. This three-day course is packed with vital instruction and practice. Upon completion, you will be better prepared to tie into the sharp end of the rope at Lumpy, Eldo, or wherever your climbing life leads you.
