Bart Paull

Certified Rock, Alpine, and Ski Mountaineering Guide – UIAGM/IFMGA Licensed Guide

AMGA UIAGM

Since his first day of toproping, Bart’s passion has been climbing. Bart grew up in Seattle and was introduced to climbing at the early age of 10. He spent his youth learning to climb on the crags and in the mountains of Washington’s Cascade Range. As an adolescent Bart spent most of his spare time on climbing trips, visiting such locales as Yosemite, the Canadian Rockies, and the Utah desert.

Bart began mountain guiding in 1998. Since then he has worked all over the United States, in Canada, South America, and in Europe. While attending Dartmouth College in New Hampshire, Bart spent a winter in Chamonix, France. It was here where he was first exposed to UIAGM/IFGMA licensed guides, and decided to become one himself. In 2005 Bart became one of only about thirty American guides to be certified by the International Federation of Mountain Guide Associations, the highest guide certification attainable. Today he stays active in the American Mountain Guides Association by working as an instructor in the Alpine and Rock disciplines.

When he is not working, Bart enjoys climbing on all types of terrain. He has completed routes throughout the lower 48, Canada, Alaska, Argentina, Bolivia, Ecuador, Nepal, Kenya, France, Italy, and Switzerland. Currently Bart is spending most of his time exploring the Colorado Front Range, home of some of the best climbing in the world.
